Join Us for a Day of Festivities on Saturday, July 18, 10 AM – 6 PM

The Mass Ave Summerfest is the fourth annual celebration of the Mass Ave Cultural Arts District, bringing together local businesses, artists, performers, families, and visitors for a vibrant, high-impact day of community connection.

At the heart of the festival, the 600 block of Mass Ave will close to traffic and transform into a pedestrian greenspace featuring up to 40 local artist and maker booths, live music, and community gathering space. An electric golf cart circulator will run the length of Mass Ave to ensure easy access to the Mass Ave Merchant Sidewalk Sales.

  • Artist, Maker and Culinary Arts Market with up to 40 local vendors

  • Live music performances throughout the day (11 am – 5 pm)

  • Garage Art Gallery: an imaginative community showcase where art doesn’t have to come from a studio… it can come straight from your attic, garage, or basement and every purchase is a donation to support the arts on Mass Ave

  • Paws on Parade: Hosted in partnership with 3 Dog Bakery: this is chance for your put to take a turn walking the catwalk showing off their style

  • A welcoming, family‑friendly environment at the height of summer that strengthens neighborhood connections

Stroll or shuttle the Mass Ave mile-long promenade from New York Street to Bellefontaine as Mass Ave Merchants spill out onto the sidewalks with unbeatable deals, summer treats, and pop-up displays.

Treasure Hunt

Grab your digital passport and embark on a shopping spree – scan the passport QR code at seven participating merchants and you are automatically entered into the drawing for a complimentary overnight stay at Bottleworks Hotel.

The Mass Ave Cultural Arts District (MACAD) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit organization seeks to preserve, enhance and promote the arts, placemaking, vibrancy, equity, heritage and prosperity of  the Mass Ave District in the NE Quad of downtown Indianapolis.

Incorporated in April 2021, it is committed to providing all visitors, businesses, and residents, shared stewardship and a welcoming sense of belonging to the district.

Mass Ave Merchants Association (MAMA)

The Cultural Arts District is powered by small, independent, and local businesses at the intersection of art, culture and commerce. The Mass Ave Merchants Association (MAMA) is a MACAD committee operating as a 501(c)6  nonprofit business association focused on promoting, encouraging, and supporting the development of Member businesses in the Mass Ave Cultural Arts District.
