Enjoy the Excitement on Mass Ave! Join Us for a Day of Festivities! Shop the Sidewalk Sale, Take a History Tour, listen to outdoor music and browse maker booths at the Summerfest Block Party

Get ready for fun day of shopping, strolling, and entertainment as the Mass Ave Cultural Arts District collaborates with Mass Ave Summerfest, the Merchants Association Sidewalk Sale, Bottleworks Market , a History Tour, and the WNBA All-Star 2025 Events. This outdoor festival is packed with summer treats and incredible finds you won’t want to miss!

The heart of Summerfest will be centered around the lively 600 block of Mass Ave, featuring a beautiful greenspace provided by festival partner Stenz Corporation. The 600 block will be closed to traffic and filled with up to 50 artist and maker booths. Local performers will provide a day of music and entertainment thanks to Stage Sponsor Cunningham Restaurant Group.  And a bonus, the Mass Ave Merchants Association will be holding its annual sidewalk sale throughout the district on Mass Ave from the 300 block north to Bottleworks.

Your Perfect Event while waiting for a Game during the WNBA All-Star 2025 Events. Enjoy the vibrant atmosphere and savor local flavors while exploring creative offerings along Mass Ave. Our participating merchants will showcase their unique products outside their stores, enhanced by delicious snacks that elevate your shopping experience.

Be part of something inspiring! Join us on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month from March through October as we come together to care for the flowerbeds of Mass Ave—one city block at a time.  Wear sturdy shoes and be prepared to get dirty! Tools, trash bags and work gloves will be provided. If you have favorite gloves or hand tools, please bring them:

Dates: April 24, May 8, May 22, June 12, June 26, July 10, July 24, August 14, August 28, September 11, September 25, and October 9.

And after all that hard work? Let’s celebrate together with a complimentary beer at the Rathskeller!

The Mass Ave Run/Walk is back on August 1 at 7 PM. This is the 11th year of the RUN(317) series. Around 2,000 participants are expected this year. Run 317 is proud to welcome Girls on the Run as our official charity sponsor of RUN(317) Mass Ave.

Mass Ave, in partnership with District and IF Theaters, closes the 600 block to traffic for a day of live music, food, drink and a street fair featuring a day of music performance, local artist and maker booths.
